As a travel professional, customers are always looking for the truth. Travel is and emotional (and sometimes costly) activity β€” and it’s fair to say that people want to make sure that they are getting the best value but also the best advice. This is where you expertise comes in handy.

You may very well be a specialist in a country, region or type of travel. This is where you can shine 100% of the time. You can always write about your expertise with confidence and passion. But, most importantly, you’re telling the truth. This goes a very long way in establishing trust with your customers β€” and when someone feels you’re trustworthy, they are more apt to share that experience with their friends.

There’s also great opportunity to share truth in destinations you might just be learning about. By bringing people along in your learning process, they are able to follow along and learn with you. It also shows honesty and humility. You may be an expert in one area, but by learning about more travel opportunities, it shows that you are committed to continual learning and providing your customers with the best options as they choose their travel adventures.

But, by all means, keep talking about what you’re best at. Keep sharing the truth with everyone. Not only will your customers keep coming back, but you could be booking vacations for new customers sooner than you think.
