Become an Expert in your niche

No one can be an expert in everything, and the good news is, you don’t need to! There are so many fun and interesting aspects to travel, that it is hard to not be passionate about all of them. However, choose one first and focus on becoming an expert in that.

Maybe you’re passionate about culinary trips? Great! Start sharing the photos you took on your culinary trips with your customers on Facebook. Post a photo along with a short story, and a question. When your customers comment on your post make sure to keep the interaction going. Write blog posts about your culinary trips, culinary trips you WANT to take, or culinary trips other clients have take.

Look at other people specializing in culinary trips, what information are they NOT providing to their customers? Make a list and work on creating that content to provide to your customers.

Follow suppliers, chefs, food critics, etc and comment on their posts (don’t make it sales focused, you’re there to provide information only).

The more you do these things, the more followers you pick up, and the more you become an expert within that niche. Intelegia had an article called “9 indicators of a social web influencer” that I found to be quite interesting.
