The Nines really does live up to the name
I recently stayed at The Nines so that I could attend Portland’s Fashion’s Big Night Out. All I can say is WOW! Everything we saw and experienced was exceptional – from the valet parking service to check in to the decor to the pillows. The Nines is above Macy’s, in Downtown Portland, in the historic Meier & Frank building, on the same street that the lightrail runs on (Which makes it pretty easy to get to from the airport, or nearly anywhere else in the city).

Why I’m Excited about the new Destination Emails

2.See some of the great deals for that destination β without having to go search for them.
Two Books To Think About Business (And Your Website) Differently
Purple Cows stand out. Love is what attracts people to you. Recently, weβve been thinking about some books that could be important pieces of an agencyβs success and the two that stood out (like a purple cow) were, you guessed it, βPurple Cowβ by Seth Godin and βLovemarksβ by Kevin Roberts.
Agency Locators: Are You Listed?
Many suppliers offer a βFind an agentβ area on their site for consumers.Β While being listed in these agency locators isnβt a guarantee that customers will find their way to you from that suppliers site, NOT being listed IS a guarantee that customers will not find their way to you from the suppliers site. Isnβt [...]
Is Your Website Yelling “Me Too!”?
Does your web site tell your customers what makes you special? No? Why Not? Your customers are remaining loyal to you because they feel some type of connection to you. Maybe itβs the great service you provide for them, maybe itβs the fabulous deal you found them on that 14 night cruise 3 years ago, [...]
What Can I Do With 20MB?
20MB is a pretty fair amount of space for storing things you will actually use on your site, however it isnβt infinite. Here are some comparisons on what you can do with 20MB: 20 photos downloaded directly from your camera (Iβm assuming that each photo is only 1MB, which is a low estimate, so you [...]
9 Tips To Improve Your Website
Make it yours. Your customers shouldnβt have to think about which site they are looking at, they should KNOW they are on your site, no matter which page they are on at the moment. Need some ideas on how to do this? Make sure your logo is on the top of every single page. Personalize [...]
Scanning The Pages
There is one book I recommend to anyone involved in building, updating, maintaining or even using, a web site in the travel industry; Itβs called βDonβt Make Me Thinkβ by Steve Krug. Why do I recommend this book? Because itβs a short read (less than 200 pages) packed full of information on how to make [...]
What Does that Mean? β Industry Terms Can Be Confusing
Recently I decided to purchase my first house. Having worked in the Travel Industry for nearly 10 years, I donβt know very much about real estate. I discovered very quickly that there is some very specific terminology used in the real estate industry which can be very confusing when you donβt know what the terms [...]
